SSU website gets a new layout

by Danehsia Ferguson
With the wind of change flowing through Savannah State University, the change of campus scenery, and the induction of our thirteenth President, it is not a surprise that the website has transformed as well. The re-launch of the SSU website premiered last Friday, the eve of President Doizer’s inauguration.
“I love the website is it is more interactive with today’s current student. The feel of the site make it seems like Savannah State University is thriving with life and diversity. I feel proud to be a student here,” said graduating senior Megan Carthon.
The homepage has left behind its plain old structural design for more vibrant layout covered with vivid photos that captures the beautiful essence of the University by the Sea.

Unlike the previous site, the slideshow is the shining feature of the homepage, making the University’s atmosphere look interactive for the users. The photos depict the campus flourishing with opportunities to grow and gain culture or a place to celebrate triumphs in the African American community.

“If I didn’t go to school here I would be compelled to go. It’s more visually appealing to the eye. The photos are fresh and up to date. Litus did his thing “-Jay Medrano.

“The website is convent. It no longer gives you the run around, the tabs on the homepage makes it easily accessible, and visually appealing.”-Najeeb Carter.

All can agree that the website has become more accessible for students as well as visitors. The website now also includes a Google map feature and access to the University’s Facebook and Twitter page.
