Spring is here, and the weather is breathtaking! What better way to enjoy our days than getting out and soaking up the sun? SSU is now offering students the option of “Bike Renting” inside at the from desk of our Wiley Wilcox Gymnasium, is now where students can look to for a bike of their choice, free of charge, with the use of your student I.D card.
Rentals are to be renewed every 24 hours if students plan on keeping the bikes any longer, otherwise if faculty has not been contacted about your decision to renew your contract for the bicycles then there will be a fee for all stolen, lost, or missing properties, and will be reported by campus officials.
Many students are unaware of the latest privilege offered to them by SSU and its faculty and staff. Now is the time to get out and take advantage of this great, fun, free, exercise. “I’ll rent a bike each day, for the thrill of letting my hair blow in the wind while cruising our campus.” says Ashley O’brien, a senior here at Savannah State who claims to have had her red & black bike for a week and a few days now.
I feel as if this is a great way for students to get from point A to B, especially on our campus and not have to worry about much such as parking tickets, gas, and any traffic to and from the buildings around campus. SSU has made it very convenient and offers another way for the students here who may not have transportation or may not feel like walking back in forth all day, to have another form of getting to their destinations with less hassle.
This opportunity was a great choice for college students and I think should be offered at other schools as well, what great way to better convenience us.
