As Tropical Storm Andrea draws closer, expect conditions to start to deteriorate. Rain chances will increase throughout the day as winds start to increase. Highs this after…noon will top out, under cloudy skies, in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
Andrea will make landfall in Florida this evening…moving northeast quickly after that. The official track from the National Hurricane Center has her centered roughly near Savannah around 2 AM tomorrow morning. Expected conditions will include the following: Heavy rain (2-4″, isolated 5-6″), windy throughout the night (Coast: 30-40 mph, G 55 mph, Inland: 20-30 mph, G 45 mph), isolated waterspouts and tornadoes. THE TIME FRAME AGAIN FOR THE HEIGHT OF THE STORM WILL BE LATER THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT. Due to already saturated grounds, tree limbs / downed trees due to strong winds my lead to isolated/scattered power outages over the next 24-48 hours.
Andrea will quickly move up the east coast throughout the day on Friday, with improving conditions locally during the afternoon and evening. Highs on Friday in the mid to upper 80s.
This weekend will be warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Scattered showers and storms will be possible during the late morning / afternoon / evening. Rain chances looking slightly better on Sunday.
